I consider any unsolicited calls to my home to be an invasion of my privacy and an assault on the sanctity of my home. Telemarketers, even those representing businesses with which I have a past or present relationship, are guilty of invading my privacy and attacking the sanctity of my home. I want to be protected from them. Don't give them any loopholes to squeeze through.
