Prerecorded or live person telemarketing still requires dropping what you are doing to answer the phone. Also, if the target phone is a Cell Phone the consumer still needs to pay the air time charges. People sign up for the Do Not Call list because they don't want the inconvenience and cost of dealing with telemarketing in any form. So until the telemarketers pay for our wired and wireless phone service keep them from using services that we consumers are paying for. Telemarketing service should only be by opt-in and this proposal is just another attempt to infringe on the consumers right to privacy and to force the consumer to bear the cost of this intrusion
