You are apparently moving in the wrong direction. You need to enforce the law you already passed and make the law tighter. It seems that there's a loop hole in the current law that allows mortgage companies to call you for years after you inquired about refinancing, even if you didn't contact the company that's now calling you, and, even though you already refinanced. (They say that I initiated the call since I call another mortgage company a few years ago.) It's especially annoying when one of the kids spends a few minutes trying to find you working out side, let's say mowing the lawn, only to find when you get to the phone, someone mispronouncing your name and trying to offer you a higher rate than you already have. You just want to strangle someone.
