1. I consider it a personal affront when someone arbitrarily decides to make me answer the telephone in order to induce me to buy something. That the call ends up being a re-recorded message makes the insult even more egregious, because I am rendered powerless to tell the caller in no uncertain terms how I feel about this uncalled for intrusion into my otherwise peaceful and harmonious existence. 2. Based on your description of your "call abandonment rule", I haven't the foggiest idea what you are talking about, and I'm a retired attorney. If you want public comment, you had better explain your issues more clearly. I hang up on callers all the time, and I don't expect there is anything you can do about it.
