I strongly request that you do not change the current do not call rules. Changing them as proposed would allow telemarketers to skirt the current restrictions and bombard our homes with incessant pre-recorded advertising. Our homes are the common man's sanctuary from just such intrusions and the phone is an important personal connection with the outside world. It was never intended to be an advertising medium. Please do not make any changes to the law that would make telemarketing easier. The current avalanche of advertising by phone is already too much. Again, please do not allow more telemarketing. If any changes were made to the law they should be more restrictive not less. It's unfortunate that we cannot eliminate telemarketing totally. Thank you for considering my opinion.
