"...proposed amendment of the Telemarketing Sales Rule to create an additional call abandonment safe harbor to allow telemarketing calls that deliver a prerecorded message..." With information almost overwhelming us, this invasive sales technique is neither appreciated nor needed. I view this as another invasion of my home by telemarketers. When I'm home, I get inundated with unsolicited mail, unsolicited email, and now the threat of more unsolicited phone calls. Why is the government even considering this? Shame on the FTC. Please do not cause further frustration at our homes than we already must endure. The FTC rules are hurting the "peace and quiet" of the home, something which this taxpayer absolutely needs. When politicians invade my home, I remember come Election Day. DO NOT ALLOW ANY FURTHER INTRUSION INTO OUR HOMES BY THE TELEMARKETERS.
