I was under the understanding that the "do not call" legeslation was to stop annoying telemarketing calls. I have signed up on the "do not call" list. I signed up so I would not be disturbed by telecomunicators. It doesn't matter if it is a computer calling or a person, the call is still a disturbance. If the FTC pemits "prerecorded message telemarketing" you will effectively do away with this legeslation. You will also give the telemarketers , over night, 66 million new customers and no need to add employees (possably costing job). These 66 million people did not sign up to exchange human callers for machine caller. I am apposed to this rulling. If it is passed I want to be put on the "computer do not call list".
