It would be absurd to allow telemarketers to barrage homeowners with unsolicited voice ads after finally instituting the Do Not Call list. Even the present Do Not Call list has too many holes in it which allow many to still disturb residents. In addition, the volume of such voice ads could seriously overload present communication media and load up voice mail and answering machines with this spam. VoIP technology would allow telemarketers to produce telephone spam at very little cost to them. Since it would all be done by computer, there would be little or no labor costs and few new jobs created. Allowing this bananza for telemarketers would be an unwise decision and I seriously hope that this loophole not be opened!.
