I am totally opposed to any change to the DO NOT CALL LIST, unless you also stop political parties from calling. The pre-recorded messages are (most of the time) impossible to hang up, and if you need to use the phone for an emergency you would not be able to do so. The do not call list has helped block most of the telemarketer calls that are disturbing to people who work or sleep odd hours, yet do not want to unplug the phone in case of emergencies. I may call an 800# for information, but do not want them to be able to call me. Please, Please, unless you can stop calls from political parties or otherwise strengthen the list, do not change it. It's not broke, so don't fix try to change
