Comments:
I and my organization are firmly against re-expansion of the latitude permitted for telemarketing . This has been a scourge on the public. Just because someone has had a previous contact with or through a telemarketer &/or the company or organization represented thereby, should not be a presumption that this individual either wants to expand or continue the contact. There should neither be a presumption that such an earlier contact was salutory nor that there is a desire to continue it. Such a position is a logical error; it presumes a generalization from a specific instance. How many individuals have written to you with the complaint that they have not had enough calls from telemarketers?? Please let me know. It is not hard to guess the attitude of these comments.
