My husband is crippled with Multiple Sclerosis and many other debilitating health issues. As a result, we receive phone calls from his healthcare providers on a regular basis that need to be answered and not diverted to an answering machine. He is home by himself during the day while I work. Obviously, when the phone rings, he needs to get up, go to the phone, and answer it. For him to be subjected to answering pre-recorded phone messages is an unconscionable expectation. While I can appreciate that individuals are trying to make a living, it must be understood that many people are just trying to live as painfree as possible without added inconvenience. I am a private citizen and may be contacted for futher comment.--Lorraine M. Hansen
