Please do not allow any of the annoying, unsolicited telemarketing calls. The ability to be on the do not call list has had a marked effect on reducing, but not eliminating these unwanted calls. I can not come up with any reason to justify allowing the telemarketing industry any leeway. The public has shown overwhelmingly they do not want these interruptions by the huge enrollment on the do not call list. An example of how annoying the recorded messages are was displayed during the past election. We must have received 50 or more of the Bush, Kerry and other political recordings, especially during the final two weeks before election day. It would be just as well received by the public if the politicians were also included in the law and not allowed to make the unsolicited calls. There is no reason they or fundraisers should be exempted.
