I am against any form of Telemarketing. The crux of the matter is that today's world is already full of commerical messages. They don't need to bother me at home on the telephone. The telephone is different. I must stop what I am doing and go answer the phone. They have interupted my quiet time at home. And, they get to pick the time and number of the interuptions. The worst ones are the computer generated calls where several numbers are called, first one to answer gets the sales pitch while the rest of us that answer get a dead phone line. You are talking to no one. A real waste of my time. These people normally always call around dinnertime or someother time when it is inconvenient (I could be eating, napping, bathing, etc). At least with junk mail, via the USPS, or Spam on my computer, I get to pick the time when I will deal with it. They already have several ways to give me their message (the US Mail, TV, Radio, Newspaper, etc). Why do I need more of the same message? There is already a don't call registry. Why can't that work for recorded calls also. I figured that no calls, meant no calls, period! No exceptions. Why are you even considering such a plan??
