You have accomplished something very good for the people of our country. The infuriating telemarketing calls have almost disapeared for us. Please, please do not weaken the rules in any way that will allow it to resume or morph. Prerecorded messages - The idea of a "safe harbor" for prerecorded messages is outrageous. The only unwanted call more insulting to one's intelligence and time than a human one is something prerecorded. Drive a stake through it NOW! This will open the flood gates of hell. It is preposterous. Major corporations have 10s to 1000s of subsidiaries and "marketing partnerships". Do you want them all calling you? I sure don't. Call abandonment meassures - tighten this up. Make it per hour per day per calling campaign. Do not weaken it. They are proposing this for a reason, they will bend the rules to suit themselves. Don't weaken it. Now for God's sake do somethng effective about e-mail spam. It is waisting hundreds of hours a year for us users, most are outright scams, and it is choking the network we all need to use. Thanks Sheldon Coad m
