As a telephone user, I am opposed to idea of allowing firms to leave prerecorded message on my voicemail or answering machine whether or not the firm has an established business relationship with me. Just because I have chosen to purchase a product or service from a firm doesn't mean that I want to hear from them to offer me new products or services.
