Comments:
I encourage the FTC to reject the petition that would allow telemarketers to leave pre-recorded spam blitzes or other uninvited forms of communication on my voicemail. I pay for voicemail services, not for telemarketers' or other uninvited callers' use, but for the use of my friends and family. If telemarketers or others wish to propose a product or service, they should pay to have it sent to me via the U.S. Mail, or other delivery courier, at their expense. Allowing these firms and organizations to use my voicemail services places me in the position of paying for their advances and pitches. I encourage you to resist the pressure exerted by the industry's lobbyists, and reject the aforementioned petition.
