Just looking at the numbers, I receive aproximately 2 calls per day at my home. If this amendment were passed, the additional telemarketing call I would receive would equal 33% of my daily calls, or an increase in my home call volume of 50%. This is far greater than the proposed amount. However, when you consider the annoyance factor of telemarketing, spam e-mails, junk snail mails, door-to-door solicitors, and the increase in television commercials, it's a wonder that the retailers aren't doing better than they are. I say no to the amendment. If I want to buy a product, I will buy it. I do not require a salesman to convince me to buy something. Thank you for your attention.
