|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:Please do not allow prerecorded messages as an exception to the Do Not Call prohibitions. Additionally, please do nothing to relax the constraints imposed upon companies, organizations, or their agents (as apparently requested by the DMA -- the relevant language is confusing!). Finally, please add charities, political, public service / police / firefighter associations or unions and their agents to the list of callers prohibited from solicitations under the Do Not Call Act -- unless they are willing to pay a fair fee, credited to the recipient's phone bill, for the imposition on listeners' time.
