I have become aware of the FTC's intent to lift the ban on automated telemarketing calls. I urge you not to do this and maintain the peace and quiet that has come to myself and millions of other Americans. Before the Do Not Call List, I received dozens of unwanted calls every month either on my answering machine or as I tried to enjoying a quiet evening at home. This decision will allow telemarketers to resume their annoying practices. Do not allow our time at home to belong to them again.
