I pay for my private phone service, which includes a usurious amount of federal tax. The dollars I pay allow me to choose with whom I will speak. I fully expected that the do-not-call list would prevent trespassers on my phone. I the true George Bush fashion, the government is welching on the deal unless it listens to the regular people. I realize the telemarketers are a huge source of campaign funds, and other benefits, but they don't provide anything to me or those like me. The long and short of it is put tougher controls on them. Provide assistance to those that become unemployed, but strangle the telemarket business. Don't welch on your deal to the public, and let's try some ethics for a change
