Comments:
To Whom it May Concern: If an individual or organization has taken the time to sign up for a no call list, then it only seems right to honor those wishes unequivocally. No additional provisions to allow telemarketers to make calls, whether using automated equipment, or with consumers with whom the seller has an established business relationship, should be considered or allowed. These kinds of changes are simply watering down what is essentially good law. It would seem that telemarketers would benefit greatly by culling those numbers that have established a prior preference to be removed from lists. Why waste their time and ours with unwanted, unsolicited calls? However, since it is clear that telemarketers are not sensitive to the desires for privacy and peace that list members have expressed, then it is the duty of the FTC to protect and insure these desires. Please do NOT allow any changes that might increase the number or kinds of unsolicited calls to members of the no call list. Sincerely, Robert DuBard
