I am writing to object to an amendment on the Telemarketing Sales Rule which would permit prerecorded message telemarketing. We opted out for one reason--TO NOT RECEIVE PHONE CALLS AT HOME FROM TELEMARKETERS WHETHER THEY ARE LIVE CALLERS OR PRERECORDED MESSAGES. This is a loophole which should not be permitted. Please reconsider shelving this amendment. This is not what the public wants or needs. We are bombarded with enough sales pitches. Give us what we deserve--privacy and freedom from sales pitches in our own homes. That is what we opted out for. Thank you.
