I oppose loosening restrictions on telemarketers. Either one doesn't answer and then gets called back; or one runs to answer and gets silence; or one gets silent messages on one's answering machine. This coupled with the spam that has made e-mail so cumbersome and tedious to wade through makes modern communications systems a joke.
