I am strongly opposed to this change in the "do not call" law. Since the DNC law passed, our evenings have been much quieter, and no longer are we pestered by telemarketers calling at all times of the day and night. Last year before DNC passed, we were getting automated calls from a telemarketer at 3 AM every morning. I could not trace the calls, and finally they stopped when DNC started. If a company with whom I have a relationship wants to call to offer me a service or product, then they can do so using a live person so I can decide if i want to go on the DNC list. I am strongly opposed to automated calls, and I do not want them. This is simply a mechanism that telemarketers want so they can circumvent a very successful DNC law.
