I am against changing the rule to allow prerecorded messages to existing customers. This would make in impossible to tell them to add your number to their do-not-call list. I have a problem with short term memory. If they put their do-not-call number in the recorded message, I would not be able to remember it and I never have a pen and paper close at hand to record it; even if they repeated the phone number several times. It would be better to change the FCC rule than the FTC rules to be in line with each other. Please don't dilute the effect of the National do-not-call list any further. Just because I am a customer doesn't mean I wish to be advertised by telephone.
