I have signed up both my home and cell phone on the No Call List and do not feel it is right that even though I have done this, telemarketers will still be able to call me. I don't care whether or not these companies need to make a living, I am sick and tired of getting calls all hours of the day...including the middle of the night and early morning hours. This proposal that will allow pre-recorded messages from telemarketers will only provide these companies with a way around the No Call List and the number of calls will simply stay the same - or more than likely increase - once they get such a system set up. Calls from telemarketers, whether by a live person or a pre-recorded message, are an invasion of my privacy plain and simple. There is no excuse for this to be allowed in any shape, form or fashion when consumers have made it clear they do not want to be called. It would be nice if for once the voice of the public speaks louder to the government than money does and the rights of the people win.
