Our phones are a service we pay to have. They should not be a medium for solicitors to harass us. Automated soicitors are even more insidious as may times they do not disconnect when you hang up the phone. I pay extra money every month for caller ID so that I can avoid telephone solicitation. If telephone solicitors insist on the use of my phone to hock their products they should have to pay part of the bill for my phone services. TV and Radio charge for the use of their medium for solicitation (advertizing) defraying the expense of television programs, so why shouldn't telephone solicitors, if they insist on invading our homes through the phone lines, be expected to pay us for the priviledge. I also want to strenuously object to solicitors harassing us on our cell phones. I pay for my airtime and don't feel I should have to waste even 1 minute on a telephone solicitation. It is your responsibility to protect our right to privacy. I feel that telephone solicitors negate that right every tiime they invade my home with their constant and annoying interruptions of my life. NO MORE TELEPHONE SOLICITATION!!!!! Thank You.
