I oppose the proposed change to permit telemarketers to send pre-recorded messages to me from companies with which I have a "pre-existing relationship." With a pre-recorded message you typically have no ability to opt out of further calls or you must listen to the entire message in order to get to a prompt that permits you to ask not to be bothered in the future. These calls are disruptive and extremely irritating. I have seen many telemarketing companies claiming that consumers "want" these calls. I can speak only for myself, but I do NOT want these calls. Please preserve the strictest controls over the Do Not Call list by keeping or strengthening the limits on who and how telemarketers may contact those of us who have opted onto the list. We do not want pre-recorded messages. Thank you.
