The intent of this do-not-call registry was to give people back the privacy of their own homes. By allowing these people to invade our homes with computerized messages, you will be destroying the core intent of this registry. Those of us who are registered are people who would not solicit business from these nuisance vendors even if they did get a message about a product they would otherwise have been interested in. I for one make a point of recording all calls of this nature so that I may avoid doing business with those companies in the future. A single invasive call is enough for me to break off dealings with a company and I will happily pay more for goods and services to support those businesses that respect my privacy. As Americans, we have to live with advertising in every single form of media available to us. However, with all other forms of advertising, we have the ability to opt out by not reading an ad or by changing the station. With this type of intrusive advertising, we cannot opt out, except in the form of this registry. Please do not allow these vultures to invade the sanctity and privacy of our homes. To not cut the legs out from under this registry by allowing more nuisance calls to be made to people who may have had some business with a company in the past. Sincerely, Randall Ellis
