Since putting my number on the do not call list, life has wonderful. For the most part, I can spend quiet evenings alone with my family and friends without constantly running to the phone, only to discover it's a telemarketer. Additionally, when returning home in the evening from work, I don't have to wade through several messages left on my machine by them. I am not in favor of allowing telemarketers to leave pre-recorded messages on my answering machine. I believe that as in the past before the "no call list," there would be too many messages left that I would have to muddle through to get to the ones most important to me. Additionally, I am on the "no call list" because I am not interested in buying anything from a telemarketer. Allowing them to leave a pre-recorded message on my machine won't influence or change my decision to purchase from them. For me, a change in rules would prove to be an annoyance.
