I do not want approval of the use of pre-recorded telemarketing messages even if it is from a company that a consumer has a relationship with. I am on the no-call list and that has made a very positive decrease in the number of telemarketing calls we receive. However, there has recently been an increase in the pre-recorded messages we are receiving. These are irritating as are any telemarketing calls, but they are particularly so because they use up so much room on our answering machine and they are so loud (like commercials on TV). I would be very happy if ALL telemarketing calls were deemed illegal. The use of regular mail is much easier for consumers to deal with since you can handle it on your time and merely throw it in the wastebasket!
