Dear FTC, I believe that your organization should remain firm with the regulations regarding prerecorded telemarketer calls. Although Voice Mail Broadcasting claims concern for pre-existing costomers’ desire to hear from companies that they have previously done business with, they truly only care about increasing their annual earnings. Customers are provided a number of sources such as radio, television and newspaper ads to inform them of special deals and sales on products, and at stores, that they have previously dealt with.. In addition, consumers also have the ability to take the initiative when they are interested in finding deals and savings by contacting the companies themselves. If a consumer feels no need to take the initiative, then companies should not be allowed to pester them with information that they are not interested in. The FTC must stay firm on current regulations, and encourage the FCC to change regualtions to conform with FTC and consumer interests, not corporate earnings. Sincerely, Michael Zeunet
