This is a terrible idea. I hate being bothered with recorded phone messages. Around the time of the last election, I was getting about four recorded messages a day. I no longer answer my phone unless I recognize the name and number of the caller, so these messages just go to my answering machine. If marketers think that having their computer call my answering machine benefits them, they're crazy. I opted out of getting phone sales pitches because I didn't want to be harassed at home. I especially don't want to be harassed by recorded messages and I will stop dealing with companies that send them to me. This goes for charities and political organizations.
