|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:It appears to me that allowing automated calling would render the current do-not-call list impotent. Automated sales calls are even more frustrating and irritating than the ones made by real people and creates a situation that makes it even more difficult to get off the company's call list, since you then have to obtain a telephone number for the offending vendor and call them yourself to be removed. In addition, with many people now using only their cell phones, these extra calls will actually cost the consumers money! This ruling would have nullify a ruling that brought a cumulative sigh of relief from consumers everywhere. Please do not make this ruling!
