I am vehemently opposed to the idea of allowing any kind of recorded messages for telemarketing purposes. I don't understand the logic in the slightest. If it allows businesses to reach people faster and cheaper then the odds are, once the flood gate is opened, to receive even more annoying calls. That is abhorrent. The idea of putting the responsibility on the consumer to contact each business to be taken off their call list is ridiculous. That didn't work before why would anyone think it would work again? The no call list has been a God send. I have enjoyed not getting telemarketing calls since the no call list was started. It has worked for me. I am on the national and the state of Indiana's list and it has been wonderful. Please don't go back to the infuriating past of receiving those annoying calls from telemarketers.
