Dear Sirs: Please do nothing (including allowing pre-recorded messages or broadening the definitions of any exemptions) that weaken consumer 'do not call' protections. For me personally these protections have stopped 2-3 calls daily. The disruption of answering the phone, and telling the telemarketer I would do no business with him, routinely took 5-10 minutes of my time each day. That may not sound like much, but multiplied throughout the year and throughout the nation, the economic benefit to the country of avoiding unwanted calls is huge! Sincerely, John Winkel
