Comments:
I am VERY strongly opposed to allowing telemarketers to abuse the *no call* laws by altering the regulation to allow them to place pre-recorded messages. We are in an area that has poor cell phone reception. If that wasn't the case, this would be enough to make me quit using land-line communications entirely. It has been such a relief to answer the phone ONLY for calls from our friends or people with a good reason to call and not from solictors. (In fact, we'd like to be removed from political and charity call lists as well.) Please do not move in this direction. In my opinion, it would so undermine the *no call* list that things would become worse than they were before.
