I do not think pre-recorded telemarking calls or any telemarketing calls for that matter that have not been directly requested by the consumer should be allowed. I choose to have a phone for my own personal use to conduct my business that I choose and stay in touch with family and friends. I am the one that has to pay my phone bill to keep my phone. If these companies want to call and interrupt my family time, then they should be paying my phone bill. If I didn't need a phone to stay in touch with family, I wouldn't have one at all so I wouldn't be bugged by telemarketers, and I definitely don't want a machine calling me.
