Regarding the producers and companies, I know they are wanting a change in hopes of financial increase. I don't think we should look at this proposal from that aspect, as I know some are being asked to do. I have talked to a great variety of people about the no call list. For many different reasons to a great many people the no call list is a good thing. Think of it like spam on e-mail. Unwanted calls are spam. If a company is unwilling to respect a citizen's wishes of not calling them, there should be something in effect, similar to what there is now, that will keep a company from making unwanted calls to citizens. If this is not resolved on behalf of the citizens of the U.S. concerning this issue, we may see law suits that may cost companies millions that will set the precedence. Is that what our nation needs? Let's set a future for success. Businesses may not like it, but they are not looking to the future and what it may cost them and others. This is not just about annoying phone calls. It is more than just a simple inconvience. Please, for our nation and the prosperity of it, don't allow companies to freely call people without a strict accountability. Thankyou Chris Plante
