Keep the stricter wording of the rule. The intent of the do-not-call list is to limit unsolicited and unwelcome telemarketing calls. Whether it is a live person or a pre-recorded message is immaterial. Its the minimizing of unwanted calls. Come to think of it, a live telemarketer has the sense to hang up on an answering machine, while a machine won't. Plus, you can't tell them to remove your name from their list. The FCC should be ashamed at their stance. I can live with the existing customer relationship rule. This new pre-recorded exemption would be worse than the previous status quo. I am extremely against it and urge you to kill it. Ed
