Comments:
The current FTC Do Not Call Registry has done little to deter telemarketing companies from harassing consumers. Further legislation will only lead to additional loop holes for these telemarketing companies to exploit to harass, and potientially allow illegitimate organizations to escape legal ramification for defauding consumers. Consumers are bombarded today at work, school, on tv, at the movies and any recreational and sporting event by corporate advertising for products and services. We should be able to elect a little privacy by removing our phone number from harassing, pressuring sales calls at all hours. I believe the do not call registry current act should remain as it stands.
