I am not in favor of relaxing the rules regarding telemarketing for any reason. Further, I have had previous experience with automated telemarketing; in some instances, the consumer couldn't disconnect until the recording had played through, and in others, the computer dialed back repeatedly until the message was played through. Others have inserted a voice activated yes or no question which the consumer must answer in order to diconnect, thereby insuring that he must listen to the entire message. The do not call list should apply to any and every form of telemarketing. Frankly, I would like to see a do not contact list for the internet, as well. I'm tired of seeking information about household cleaners or greeting cards and being inundated with advertisements for pornography. Patricia Knowlton
