Why is it that the American public must constantly fight to maintain our right to privacy rather than rely on the government agencies we pay for to protect us. If the average American did not want to have their right to privacy violated by telemarketers, then the law protecting us would not be in effect today. The companies that utilize this method of marketing have proven in the past that they would abuse their right at the expense of the privacy of others. One does not have to look too far to see that these same companies are the same ones that now flood the internet. In fact, they have been so aggressive that have earned their own word to describe the abuse... spam. The average American is once again screaming for the government to intervene and regulate these abusers. So, please do not give the abusers back their original venue of abuse because their lack of responsibility is once again causing the American public to cry out for regulations for those who contantly threaten the right to privacy of others.
