Comments:
I am a consumer and am against any changes being made in the FTC's policy on automated telemarketing calls. Pre-recorded call are especially annoying, sometimes tying up the phone line until the entire message is run, despite repeated attempts to hang up on them. It is much more difficult to notify companies that telemarketing calls from them are not wanted if there is not a live person making the call. Protection from unwanted and annoying telemarketing calls should be strengthened, not weakened. Instead of the FTC adopting the FCC's policy, the FCC should adopt the current FTC's policy.
