I consider any advertising or solicitation calls to my home telephone an invasion of my privacy whether there is a person or a computer on the other end. People who I wouldn't normally give the right time of day to can call and interrupt what ever I'm doing whenever they want. I am totally against any changes to the hard won rules that prevent these people invading my privacy. I would like to see the existing rules made to apply to political candidates and those who are taking polls. But my frustration will be magnified if I am bothered by a computer that I can't curse and tell to go to hell. Since signing up for the "Do Not Call List" and changing my telephone number to unlisted, I have finally escaped these slugs. I never give out my telephone number to any retailers. Thank you for the opportunity to rant.
