Comments:
(1) Recorded messages are less intrusive and coercive than live agent telemarketing; they do not argue with you or attempt to overcome your objections. (2) By offering an explicit opt-out option, recorded messages make it easy for you to be added to a company’s do not call list. (3) Recorded messages always start promptly when you answer the phone, unlike live agent calls made by predictive dialers which begin with a pause. (4) The recorded message is easier to understand than the script read by a disinterested telemarketer.
