"The first proposal would amend the TSR by expressly prohibiting unsolicited prerecorded telemarketing calls answered by a consumer without the consumer’s prior written agreement." \n\n The rule does not go far enough. I still wouldn't participate, but, I think folks that agree to receive telemarketing calls should be compensated for their time. That would be similar to Pay-Per-click advertising. \n\n The second proposal would amend the prescribed method for measuring the maximum allowable call abandonment rate in the TSR’s existing safe harbor provision. \n\n I have no idea what that means, but please stick it to the scum that calls me with unsolicited pre-recorded messages. Thanks! \n\n (P.S. I'm sure Voxeo thought I would be upset by the FTC proposals. Instead, I believe VoiceXML has its place in the ability to conduct interactivity when called rather than when calling.)
