Comments:
My authority in responding is as a citizen and consumer whose life has occasionally been adversely affected by the telemarketing industry. I am most concerned about the possibility of minor children taking telephone calls from marketing bots and being unable to assess that the call is an unsolicited attempt at marketing. More generally, I feel that marketers have no inherent right to invade my home or telephone without my prior knowledge and consent. I strongly urge the FTC to approve the amendment prohibiting unsolicited prerecorded telemarketing calls. Thank you.
