Comments:
Like many other people, I do not appreciate receiving unsolicited telemarketing calls. However, I make no distinction whatsoever between an automated, recorded, or live-attended phone calls. I do not mind automated or recorded phone calls provided that I desire to receive them. Please take extreme care in wording regulations so that businesses and other organizations can interact with me using automated or recorded phone calls as well as live-attended phone calls as long as I desire to receive them. Also please take extreme care in wording regulations so that the business or other organization can recognize my acceptance or rejection of their calls. I believe that requiring written, signed, acceptance forms is excessively cumbersome. Verbal acceptance or rejection should be enough. If there is a problem it should be relatively simple for a consumer to provide phone records of when they were called and when they requested to no longer be called and to then show that the calls still continued. Please do not make life more difficult while attempting to protect us from these kinds of things.
