Comments:Dear Sir or Madam, I am the owner of Capelouto Termite & Pest Control, Inc. Our company has been in business since 1964. The intent of the proposed rule change is understandable, however I am concerned that this will effect our customers in a negative way. Our company uses an interactive system which allows our customers to easily conect to our office to schedule their annual termite renewal service. This system also allows them to cancel the call immediately if they wish. I am a very involved owner of our company and closely monitor customer satisfaction. I can assure you that our customers find this system very convenient and easy to use. I can honestly say that we have made over 50,000 calls using this system. We have received 2 complaints and those were easily rectified. If I understand it correctly, the proposed rule will require receiving written permission from our customers to in order for us to call them with an automated system. With all due respect, contacting customers will I believe be extremely inconvenient for them. In summary, I would like to ask that this proposed rule be at least modified to not require written permission to make these calls. Sincerely, Grant A.
